Savannah Guthrie Appeals for Mother’s Release After Suspected Kidnapping
In her latest video message, the US TV anchor addressed "whoever has her, or knows where she is," adding that Nancy Guthrie's loved ones "still have hope."
Investigators are currently analysing DNA found on a glove recovered near Nancy Guthrie’s Tucson, Arizona, home. Authorities believe the glove may have been worn by a suspect captured on doorbell-camera footage the night she went missing, in the early hours of February 1.
The FBI said the glove was found in a field approximately two miles (three km) from her home.
Around 16 gloves were collected from the surrounding area, but most were discarded by people searching for Nancy Guthrie.
"The one with the DNA profile recovered is different and appears to match the gloves of the subject in the surveillance video," the FBI said.
Preliminary DNA results have been received, but the agency is still awaiting "quality control and official confirmation" before entering an "unknown male profile" into its database.
